Alice Leora Briggs’ investigations into human frailties encompass thousands of drawings, woodcuts, broadsides, and site-specific architectural installations.

Publications include Abecedario de Juárez: An Illustrated Lexicon with Julián Cardona; Dreamland: The Way Out of Juárez with Charles Bowden, and The Room, a suite of chine collé woodcuts with poet Mark Strand. Briggs is a Fulbright Scholar and Guggenheim Fellow.
