Kristin Bauer is an interdisciplinary artist with a background in psychology, symbolism and writing. She examines archetypes and gestures, symbolic meaning and linguistics, and propaganda and poetics.

Her objects embody forms of ritual, visual, written, and spoken communications. The performances sculpt individual and collective cognition, language in space and time, and dialogue that is free of persuasive intent. The spaces gesture toward natural and architectural elements to prompt dialogue, create pause, and make a public platform for reflection and positive evolution.
